Hi everyone thanks for joining me today my name is Sean Paul, and I am the owner of shock our bakery if you haven't done so by now please make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel in order to stay up to date with videos like this one wedding planning is often a stressful time for brides and stress can often lead to miscommunication between customers and vendors the best way to avoid miscommunications is to provide contracts for your customers contract agreements provide general guidelines for both the vendor and the customer to follow not only do contracts put everyone on the same page they also make customers feel comfortable to know the vendors also bound by the contract terms aside from providing comfort to the customer contracts make your business more professional and trustworthy so let's begin and review my contract agreement on the very top you see my logo here in the header along with my business name and what the document is I than provide an area for the customer to insert their information the client name the phone number their email the event date the event venue the number of servings and if they have an event planner I need them to give me the name and the phone number provided on the bottom of my contracts right here on the footer I actually have more information so that the customer could always get in touch any I have my website address my email address and my phone number the first point in my wedding contract is the design agreement the customer will not be provided with hard copy kick sketches until deposit has been placed by the customer hard copies include taking photos with a camera of the sketch during preliminary meetings I hold all rights to any sketches provided to the customer and the customer agrees not to take the designs discussed to another cake or bakery business why is this in my contract the reason is that in the past I've had customers take my sketches to other cake designers who under charged my prices, so they could feel my customers, so I've learned not to provide too much of my idea to the customer before it's guaranteed that I'm going to be their vendor, so then I follow that up with order details will be provided on your invoice by paying the retainer you are agreeing to all terms and descriptions on the Shaka bakery in voice if any design changes are desired you will let Shikhar bakery know up to two weeks prior to your event so again on my invoice I have all the detailed information regarding their order it is up to the customer to review that information and to tell me that everything is ok if there's any error that they missed, and they didn't catch in time then it is not my responsibility, and they can't come to me and blame me because my contract says that they have already agreed to all the terms and descriptions in my invoice I next discuss non-compete agreement this one is very straightforward there will be no other cake vendors or related vendors at the venue if I am to be there cake vendor...
